SUE KAY & COMPANY

My thoughts on design stem from my family values. The idea being that the best design follows function first and is beautiful in the process.

It’s not about having the best of everything but rather making the best of everything you have. I was raised in a frugal but quality living family. You bought something good quality and when it was worn out you got creative and reinvented it in a “waste not, want not” mentality. Some areas of design warrant an expenditure but these should be select high impact spots that give you premium function and exceptional long lasting good looks. I appreciate all styles of design from the most contemporary to the most primitive as long as the design has good bones and key style elements. I am a biophillic ( love/respect of nature) and practice the art of “lagoom" or “just enough". These two elements combine to a high use of natural elements that are timeless and understated. I believe spaces should speak your language in a space absent of clutter or excess. Your design should reflect a great sense of what is important to you. So if you are unsure of your style or don’t know where to start I am here to help you discover and reveal your uniquely curated space... the best possible place in the world to call home.
